WORKSHOPS
Since I was 20 years old, I have traveled back and forth between Japan and overseas and have had many experiences. When I was living abroad, I had some difficulties because I didn't have much people I knew and no one I could ask. This the reason I thought my experience and the qualifications that I have acquired in the past can help others.
Now turning into 50, I decided to start workshops with the hope that I can be of help to foreigners in Japan.
Recently, it has become possible to go back and forth between Japan and other countries little by little. However, I feel there are still many foreigners who could not travel back to their home county and to meet with their loving family and friends and spending sad and lonely time in Japan.
I am hoping that my workshop can support making friends and create opportunities to get to know Japanese people.
Workshops are just the entrance. I wish I could help answering some of your questions and supporting your everyday life in Japan.
If there is anything you would like to know or finding some difficulties, please feel free to ask even if it is not related to the workshop.

I would like to answer as much as possible whether it is a private workshop or a group workshop.
Japanese Workshop
Time: 60min
Format: Online (Zoom) or
at my house (Ota-ku, Tokyo. The station for my area is Yaguchinowatashi(Tokyu Tamagawa Line))

Contents:
- Contents of workshop are customizable based on the request for any specific situation required.
- In this workshop, you will learn the basic communications used in daily life in Japan.
- The workshop is not planned to cover the very basic of Japanese such as Japanese characters.
(If prefer, please take basic "Shuji" lesson)
- Workshop will also cover saying general seasonal greetings in Japanese
- This workshop will be basically on conversation only and will not use any text books. Text book (or any books)
can be used if prepared by the attendee.

Basic “Shuji” (Japanese Calligraphy)
Time: 90min
Format: In-person at my house
(Ota-ku, Tokyo.The station for my area is Yaguchinowatashi(Tokyu Tamagawa Line))

Price: First Time: JPY 6,000 per person
(basic Shuji Set to take home included

Second Time & onwards:

Contents:
- Experiencing the very basic of “Shuji” by writing on special paper using Writing Brush and Water .
- For those who would like to learn Japanese characters (Hiragana & Kanatana) can be covered within
this workshop upon request.
- Based on the level of experience, use of real ink shall be considered.
Origami (Japanese Paper folding)
Time: First Time: 90min
Second Times & onwards: 60min
Format: In-person at my house

Second Time & onwards:

Contents:
- Creating your own “How to fold Origami” book to take home.
- The book can be continuously used for new Origami works to be added from second time and onwards.
- Available even for beginners who have no experience of Origami.
Macrobiotic cooking
Time: approx. 3 hours (depend on the menu)
Format: In-person at my house

Contents:
- Learning on Japanese cooking using force of nature (yin and yang)
Example) Looking at ways of cooking rice with “Donabe” (clay pot), Pan and Pressure cooker
- You will be able to cook rice without the rice cooker. Useful for outdoor cooking too.
